Kirsty’s started out in 2012 as a healthy alternative to traditional ice-cream. The company focused on creating anew brand of frozen dessert that would serve as a credible alternative for Coeliacs and people with a range of other common allergies.
The dessert, which is a diary-free alternative to ice-cream, was developed by Kirsty Henshaw for her child who suffers from many food allergies. Kirsty didn’t want him to miss out so she created a frozen dessert just as tasty as ice-cream but without diary. The dessert is also suitable for vegans.
Fast-forward to 2015, Kirsty’s has diversified its products to include a wide range of “allergy-friendly” ready meals for kids and adults alike. To ensure the safety of the consumers, all products are free from diary, sugar, gluten, cholesterol, artificial flavors and artificial preservatives.
Kirsty’s foods are now offered by a large selection of supermarkets including Tesco and Sainsbury.
