Yrwall is a “Digital Graffiti Wall” developed by Luma, an event management company. With Yrwall, designs are createdon large walls using a modified spray can which has its paint substituted for an IR blaster. The infrared radiation emitted from the “spray can” is then tracked and recorded by a computer vision system that is embedded into the wall. The computer processes this pattern and immediately projects the image back onto the wall.
Yrwall was developed by Deborah Messenger in a bid to create a fun new approach to graffiti painting while avoiding all the mess that comes from using real paint. The product offers a fun addition to events as well as an excellent interactive and inventive drawing tool.
